Trust has been also granted full exemption from Govt. Tax levied in Electricity bills.
The aims and objects of the Trust are wide ranging and the Trust contemplates in the field of health and education. The trust is initiating its activities in the field of preventative, curative to all individual, irrespective of their sex, age, religion, caste, language etc.,
The trust has acquired a plot of land admeasuring about 2400 Sq. Yards on Surendra Mangaldas Road, B/h, Jail Shefali Raw House, Nr. The Main Road Leading to Satellite from Ambawadi, Ahmedabad. The plot has been donated by “Shri Jethalal Amrutlal Patel Public Charitable trust” of Ahmedabad through the good offices of the then Managing Trustee of said trust Late Shri I.M.Nanavati (Supreme Court Advocate). This Plot is within the limits of Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and on its western side, nearby passes the 132’ wide ring Road. On its eastern side, there is a 40’-0’ wide T.P. Road connecting S.M. Road to Himmatlal Park Area. It is situate in the heart of mega city Ahmedabad.
Although the city of Ahmedabad is served by the three Civil Hospitals and three Teaching Hospitals managed by Ahmedabd Municipal Corporation, they are insufficient for the rising needs of this fast developing cosmopolitan city. The city of Ahmedabad has witnesses a phenomenal growth in its population and business activities. The city particularly needs a good, small and compact, fully equipped, self –sufficient General Hospital with competent and humanized medical and paramedical facilities to be made available to patients of all categories of means, and at most reasonable charges.
The management of large public Hospital tends necessarily to be complex and dehumanized, making the Doctors-patient relationship business like as through based on a set formula. And this is inevitable, as a Doctor of the big Hospital has no enough time to develop an individual patient sympathetically.
The inevitable shortcoming inherent in the managing of Public Hospital many, turn to Private Clinics and Hospitals in search of individualized treatment. The Privete Clinics and Hospitals offer personal, efficient but much expensive treatment. However, the treatments at Public Hospitals remain inexpensive. Our Trust wishes to avoid this pitfall and endeavor to combine the virtue of public Hospitals and private Hospitals. Our Hospital is in search of such compromise between these two extremes.
The Hospital contemplates to have satisfaction of modern technology with various discipline of medicine under one roof. The said Hospital will have about 80 to 100 beds in future, and out-patient department for different branches of medicine. At present, there are about 50 beds in the Hospital, in general wards, Special and Semi. Special Rooms (Both Ordinary as well as deluxe type).
The Trust has found that the Hospital Project is the most befitting in the middle of the city, but approachable from all sides of district of Ahmedabad having a population of a almost more than 6.00 million people. The Ahmedabad district has only almost 25000 Hospital beds, while the real need for a population of 6.00 million people is about 50,000 beds. It is interesting and significant to note about 40% to 50% of patient availing medical services in Ahmedabad are from outside the city. Our hospital serves not only people of Ahmedabad (Municipal Limits) but patients from nearby villages like Vastrapur, Vejalpur, Jodhpur, Thaltej, Ambli, Bopal, Ghuma, Godhavi, Manipur are also taking benefit of our Hospital. From V. /S. Hospital, Our Trust Hospital is at 10 Kms. Distance. We serve almost 5 to 6 Sq. Kms. Radius area. As now city of A’bad has been given status of Mega City situation of our Trust Hospital is centrally located.
In near future the Hospital will be housed in an imposing five storied ultramodern building having all modern amentias. At present, cellar, ground floor, 1st floor and partly 2nd floor is constructed, which is @ 30,000 sq. ft. built up area. Hospital has very big area for parking. This will be only possible because in 2009-10 our trust has received a most important property in Ambawadi Bazaar worth crores of rupees as a gift.
